About us

Founded in 2002, The Highgrove Beds Group is a privately owned, family business and now one of the UK’s fastest growing bed

manufacturers. Following rapid growth, in 2015 the company moved to a new manufacturing plant in Liversedge, West Yorkshire.

This impressive new 250,000sqft facility sits on a 20 acre site, and is one of the most modern in Europe with the capacity to produce

more than 10,000 beds a week.

Highgrove has recently been listed in The London Stock Exchange’s ‘1000 Companies to inspire Britain’ report. To be selected for

the list, businesses not only had to demonstrate positive growth over the previous 4 years, but also significantly outperform their sector peers.

Highgrove Beds Group – major investment

In May 2014 a deal was signed by to purchase a former plastics factory in Liversedge,

West Yorkshire for £2.95million. A major refurbishment programme costing a further £2million

got underway and during Summer 2015 the entire operation - including people, plant and

machinery, moved to the new site. By September 2015, the new facility was fully operational.

In addition to the £5million site investment, a further 20 new delivery vehicles sporting new

livery have also been purchased at a cost of £1m to ensure that it’s Fastersleep 7 day delivery

lead-time (98% achieved) is maintained in line with the company’s projected growth.

New brands and product launches

In 2015 the company made a strategic decision to widen the product portfolio and appeal of its products.

The flagship Highgrove brand was to become totally pocket focused targeted at the mid market, with a new

brand positioned at the entry level (moresleep) and another new up-market pocket brand (Sanctum)

focused at the premium price sector.

The September 2015 Telford Bed Show provided the ideal platform to showcase Sanctum as well as the new

Highgrove bed range. Supported by new in-store displays and POS both brands were well received with more

than £500k of new business secured.

moresleep was launched in March 2016 to complete the good, better, best offer of the

Group portfolio and was also supplied with high impact POS free of charge to stockists.

Sub brands were also created to simplify the selling story of each product range, including

Highgrove AdvantEdge® – WideAsleep to highlight the benefit of foam encapsulation models.

Exports

The company secured its first major deal to export the new Sanctum brand to German retailer HGC. They subsequently launched the brand at the 2016 Paris Show and several models are now on display in retail outlets throughout Germany and Switzerland.

Marketing

With three distinct brands in our Group portfolio our strategy is to raise both trade and consumer awareness in their various market sectors. Investment in advertising and marketing continues to rise in line with turnover and this includes National Trade advertising and high impact
